Day 1

Delhi to Ayodhya (Travel & Major Temple Visits)

  • Your spiritual journey to Ayodhya begins early in the morning with a transfer from your location in Delhi to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) for a direct flight to Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya (AYJ). The flight duration is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, offering a swift and comfortable travel option. Alternatively, some travelers may arrive via overnight train, reaching Ayodhya early morning. Upon arrival, you will be received by a local tour representative and transferred to your pre-booked hotel for check-in and refreshments.
  • Begin your divine exploration with a visit to the majestic Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the sacred birthplace of Lord Rama. Spend time offering prayers and absorbing the spiritual energy of this deeply revered site. Note that security is strict—mobile phones and bags may need to be stored in lockers. Afterward, proceed to Hanuman Garhi, a 10th-century temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Then visit the Nageshwarnath Temple, an ancient Shiva temple believed to have been founded by Lord Rama’s son, Kush. Nearby, explore Sita Ki Rasoi, a symbolic kitchen believed to mark the site where Goddess Sita once cooked meals during her time in Ayodhya.
  • If time permits, consider optional visits to sites such as Tulsi Smarak Bhawan—a memorial dedicated to poet-saint Tulsidas, the author of the Ramcharitmanas—or Guptar Ghat, where legend says Lord Rama ascended to his heavenly abode.
